ABS Warning Light Circuit (Remains On)

ABS WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT (REMAINS ON) 

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION 
Check the DTC and make sure that the normal system code is output.

(If a trouble code is output, see Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart  See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions/ABS w/ EBD & BA & TRAC & VSC System).

If any of the following is detected, the ABS warning light remains on.

-

The skid control ECU connectors are disconnected from the skid control ECU.

-

The combination meter connector is disconnected from the combination meter assembly.

-

There is a malfunction in the skid control ECU internal circuit.

-

There is an open in the harness between the combination meter and the skid control ECU.

HINT:  In some cases, the hand-held tester cannot be used when the skid control ECU is abnormal.
