WARNING FUNCTION OF ENGINE SWITCH INDICATOR 

a. The steering lock ECU blinks the LED indicator of the engine switch when any of the given problems occurs in the system.

With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

CHECK FOR DTCs 

a. Prepare the hand-held tester.
b. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3 at the lower part of the instrument panel.
c. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the hand-held tester on.
d. Use the hand-held tester to check for DTCs, and note or print the result (see the operator's manual for operating instructions).
e. See Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart to confirm the details of the DTCs.

Without Scan Tool

TOYOTA does not provide a procedure for Reading Trouble Codes Without a Scan Tool.

With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

CLEAR DTCs 

a. Operate the hand-held tester to clear the DTCs (see the operator's manual for operating instructions).
