NOTICE:  Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 inch).

HINT:  This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.

58. INSTALL POWER STEERING RACK HOUSING HEAT INSULATOR

NOTICE:  Be careful not to damage the heat insulator.

59. INSTALL RACK & PINION POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY

a. Install the power steering gear assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

Torque: 70 Nm (714 kgf-cm, 52 ft. lbs.)

NOTICE:  Do not turn the nut because the nut has its own stopper. Tighten the bolt with the nut fixed.

60. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

a. Using SST, connect the pressure feed tube assembly to the power steering gear assembly.

Torque: 22 Nm (227 kgf-cm, 16 ft. lbs.)

NOTICE:  Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 inch).

HINT:  This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.
