Repair Procedure
1.
Conduct a road test to verify the noise condition.
2.
Remove and replace both rear upper strut supports by following the procedures in the Technical Information System (TIS):

2006 model year Avalon Repair Manual: Suspension: Rear Shock Absorber With Coil Spring.
3.
Correct and adjust the rear wheel alignment after replacing the rear upper strut supports. Follow the procedure on TIS:
