a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery terminal 2 and negative (-) lead to terminal 1, check that the motor turns counterclockwise.
b. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns clockwise.

If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.

2. INSPECT PTC THERMISTOR OPERATION

a. Separate the power seat adjuster from the front seat.
b. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 on the front vertical motor connector, and

move the front edge of seat cushion to the highest position.

c. Check that the current drops under 1 A within 4 to 60 seconds.

d. Disconnect the leads from the terminals within 5 seconds.
e. Reverse the polarity. check that the seat cushion begins descend within approximately 60 seconds.

If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
