20.

Inspect free length of tension spring. Length should be 51 mm (2.01 in). If not as specified, replace the spring.

Installation

Installing Oil Pump Pulley

1.

Using SST 09616-30011 or equivalent, hold the pulley, then torque the nut to 26 Nm (20 ft lb).

Installing Crankshaft Timing Pulley

Install crankshaft timing pulley over crankshaft key.

Installing No. 2 Idler Pulley

3.

Install No. 2 idler pulley. Torque idler pulley retaining bolt to 42 Nm (31 ft lb).

Installing No. 1 Idler Pulley And Tension Spring

4.

Temporarily install No. 1 idler pulley and tension spring.
