Temporary Installation Of Timing Belt

Temporarily install the timing belt on the crankshaft, oil pump, No. 2 idler, and water pump pulleys.
NOTE: The engine should be cold.
Installing Timing Belt Guide

Install timing belt guide with the cup side facing outward.
Installing No. 1 Timing Belt Cover
7.
Install No. 1 timing belt cover and gasket assembly.
Installing Crankshaft Pulley
8.
Align the crankshaft pulley set key with the groove of the pulley and install the pulley. Torque crankshaft pulley retaining bolt to 108 Nm (80 ft
lb).
