Removal of Igniter

Removal of Igniter

1.

Remove rotor, ignition coil cover and igniter cover.

2.

Disconnect the red and brown wires from the (+) ignition coil terminal.

3.

Disconnect the yellow and blue wires from the (-) ignition coil terminal.

4.

Disconnect the pink and white wires from the igniter unit.

Removal of Igniter

5.

Remove the two igniter retaining screws and lift the igniter out of the distributor housing.

6.

Discard the retaining screws.
