6. FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG IS NOT DEPLOYED)

a. Perform a diagnostic system check.
b. With the front seat airbag assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the

front seat airbag assembly with a new one:
-

Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the front seat airbag assembly.

-

Cracks or other damage to the wire harness or connector.

CAUTION:  For removal and installation procedures of the front seat airbag assembly, see "Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/
Procedures/Front Seat Assembly/Power Seat Type or see Manual Seat Type", and be sure to follow the correct procedure.

7. CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

a. Perform a diagnostic system check.
b. With the curtain shield airbag assembly installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace

the front pillar garnish or roof headlining assembly with a new one:
Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the front pillar garnish or roof headlining assembly around the curtain shield airbag assembly.

8. CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG IS NOT DEPLOYED)

a. Perform a diagnostic system check.
b. With the curtain shield airbag assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace

the curtain shield airbag assembly with a new one:
-

Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the curtain shield airbag assembly.

Cracks or other damage to the connector.

CAUTION:  For removal and installation procedures of the curtain shield airbag assembly, see "Replacement", and be sure to follow the
correct procedure.

9. AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)
