Seat Belt Reminder Lamp: Component Tests and General Diagnostics

Seat Belt Warning Light (Driver Side)

INSPECT SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT (Driver Side)

a. Check the operation.

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON and check that the warning light lights up.
2. Fasten the outer belt to the inner belt and check that the warning light goes off.
3. Disconnect the connector from the buckle switch and ground terminal on the wire harness side connector.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON and check the warning light.

OK:  Seat belt warning light: Come on

INSPECTION 

1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

Standard
a. When fastening the seat belt (buckle switch is ON).

1. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals.

Standard

If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.
