Repair Procedure 

1.

Test drive and verify that the 5-4 harsh downshift condition occurs as described in the "Introduction" section.

2.

Replace the SLT solenoid following the instructions found on the Toyota Technical Information System (TIS), 2005 model year Camry Repair
Manual: Automatic Transmission/Trans: Transmission Valve Body Assy (U250E): Replacement (Camry).

NOTE:

For SLT solenoid identification, refer to TSB No. TC007-05, "U250E Transmission Solenoid Identification."

3.

Test drive and verify that the ATM operates normally.
