(a) Engage the 2 pins and install the steering pad switch assembly.
(b) Install the screw.

(c) Engage the 2 pins and install the steering pad switch assembly.
(d) Install the screw.
(e) Connect the connector to the spiral cable.

3. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Steering Pad/Installation

4. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Steering Pad/Installation

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
6. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Steering

7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:  Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.
