Introduction
Some customers may experience a crank/no start condition along with a blinking security light when the key is in the ignition. Diagnostic Trouble Code
(DTC) B2799 may also be stored. These conditions may be caused by a crack in the immobilizer key housing and chip. Use the following repair
procedures along with the new key blank to improve this condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first,
from the vehicle's in-service date.
Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
