Repair Procedure

IMPORTANT:

Before removing the seat from the vehicle:

Move the seat forward to its farthest forward position (this will allow access to the plastic trim screws later).

Lower the seat to its lowest position (this will allow the rear lifter bar to be moved up easily at a later step).

1.

Remove the driver's seat assembly.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2007 model year Camry Repair Manual, Vehicle Interior - Seat - "Seat: Front Seat Assembly
(for Power Seat): Removal".

2.

Write down the radio preset stations.

3.

Using a plastic trim tool (or a taped screwdriver), remove the power reclining and slide switches.

4.

Flip the seat upside down and place on a clean surface.

NOTE:

Place a clean blanket under the seat to protect the seat from becoming soiled or damaged.

5.

Remove the two screws at the front of the seat, holding the plastic trim in place.
