4. BLEED FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake Fluid
5. CANCEL BRAKE CONTROL DISABLE See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake Fluid
6. CLEAR DTC FOR BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM

7. PERFORM ACCUMULATOR PRESSURE ZERO DOWN See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake Fluid
8. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
9. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake Fluid

10. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76ft-lbf)

From 10-2006

BRAKE: FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE

(a) Connect the front brake flexible hose with the union bolt and a new gasket.

Torque: 29 Nm (300 kgf-cm, 21ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the front flexible hose and the speed sensor to the shock absorber with the bolt.

Torque: 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14ft-lbf)

NOTICE:  When installing the front flexible hose and the speed sensor, the bracket must face toward the exterior of the vehicle.

(c) Connect the brake line to the front brake flexible hose with SST while holding the front brake flexible hose with a wrench.

SST: 09023-00101
Without SST - Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11ft-lbf)
With SST - Torque: 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
-

Do not bend or damage the brake line.

-

Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake line from the connecting points.

-

Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.).

-

This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to a torque wrench.

(d) Install the front brake flexible hose with a new clip.

NOTICE:
-

When installing the front brake flexible hose, face the identification mark toward the exterior of the vehicle and minimize twisting of the
hose.

-

Install the clip as far as it will go.

2. ADD BRAKE FLUID TO RESERVOIR See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake Fluid
3. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake Fluid
4. BLEED FRONT BRAKE SYSTEM See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake Fluid
5. CANCEL BRAKE CONTROL DISABLE See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake Fluid
6. CLEAR DTC FOR BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM
