(b) Remove the 2 nuts, the 2 gaskets and the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.

BRAKE: BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE ABS MOTOR RELAY

(a) In order to prohibit brake control, remove the 2 ABS motor relays with the power switch off.

NOTICE:  If the pump motor operates while air remains inside the brake actuator hose, the air will enter the actuator, resulting in difficulty in
bleeding the brakes.

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

6. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, and separate the brake master cylinder reservoir sub-assembly.
