Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper: Service and Repair
Installation

2AZ-FXE FUEL: FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to the O-ring of the fuel pressure pulsation damper.

(b) Install the fuel pressure pulsation damper with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80in-lbf)

NOTICE:  Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or jammed before installing the damper.

2. INSTALL FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

HINT:  Connect the metallic type connector  See: Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information.

3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Installation
4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
5. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK

6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization procedure See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

HINT:  Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
