Installation

2AZ-FXE IGNITION: IGNITION COIL: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the 4 ignition coils with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80in-lbf)

(b) Connect the 4 ignition coil connectors.

2. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

4. INSTALL LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Battery, Hybrid Drive/Service

and Repair/HV Battery/Installation

5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization procedure See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

HINT:  Some vehicle systems require initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.

1. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the 4 ignition coils with the 4 bolts.
