Removal

From 03-2006 to 10-2006

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:  Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing  See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Service
Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for Manual Seat)

CAUTION:  Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Manual Seat) See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Seat

Assembly (for Manual Seat)/Removal

5. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH (for Manual Seat) See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Front Seat Assembly (for Manual Seat)/Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat) See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front

Seat Assembly (for Manual Seat)/Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
8. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Power Seat)

HINT:  Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and
Repair/Roof Headlining/Removal.

9. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH (for Power Seat)

HINT:  Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and
Repair/Roof Headlining/Removal.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)

HINT:  Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and
Repair/Roof Headlining/Removal.

11. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU

(a) Disconnect the connector from the occupant classification ECU.
