The procedure listed below are for the LH side.

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:  Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing  See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:  Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Seat

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Roof

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP
6. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Roof

Headlining/Removal

7. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Seat

Assembly/Removal

8. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the connector.

NOTICE:  When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Remove the bolt and rear airbag sensor.
