(e) Using a "TORX" socket (T30), tighten the "TORX" screw to install the seat position sensor.

Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71in-lbf)

(f) Make sure that a clearance between the seat position sensor and the seat rail is within 0.6 mm (0.024 in.) to 2.0 mm (0.079 in.).
(g) Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the seat position sensor.
(h) Connect the connector.

NOTICE:  When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(a) Perform initialization See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

NOTICE:  Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.

7. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Seat Assembly (for

Power Seat)/Installation

8. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Inspect the SRS warning light See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Airbag System/Diagnosis System.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR

(a) Check that the power switch is turned off.
(b) Check that the negative battery (-) cable is disconnected.

CAUTION:  Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.
