Inspect the vehicle body and upper support where the upper strut mount makes contact. Remove any burrs, sharp edges, or body sealer from the
contact surface of body. Paint any metal exposed during the removal process.

If contact mark(s) are noticed in an area outside the indicated area to install EPT sealer, add EPT sealer as necessary.

Install the left and right rear strut assemblies into the vehicle.

7.

Torque the mounting nuts using the torque sequence shown in the illustration above.

Torque: 39 N.m (398 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lbf)

Check alignment and adjust the rear wheel toe alignment, if necessary.

9.

Road test the vehicle to confirm the "tick" noise is NO longer present at slow speeds and that the vehicle does NOT have any alignment concerns.
