(b) Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the No. 2 transmission control cable bracket and No. 3 transmission control cable bracket.
(c) Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the transmission control cable bracket No. 1 with a new clip.
(d) Install the transmission control cable to the control shaft lever with the nut.

Torque: 15 Nm (150 kgf-cm, 11ft-lbf)

(e) Push in the lock piece of the transmission control cable.

NOTICE:
-

Before pushing in the lock piece, make sure that the shift lever and control shaft lever are in the N position.

-

Firmly push in the lock piece until the slider lock is engaged.

HINT:  After pushing in the lock piece, make sure that the boot is not deformed.

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Installation

5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
7. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
8. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT (for TMC Made)

9. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT (for TMMK Made)

(for TMMK Made)/Installation.

10. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION See: Shifter CVT/Adjustments
11. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION See: Shifter CVT/Adjustments
12. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER OPERATION See: Shifter CVT/Adjustments
13. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

NOTICE:  Certain systems need to be initialized after reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
