Removal

From 03-2006 to 10-2006

P311 HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

5. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.

(b) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws, and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly with the clip from the control cable

bracket.

HINT:  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Remove the clip.

6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the shift lever position sensor connector.
