REMOVAL
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
HINT:
-
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
2. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
(a) Disconnect the connector from the skid control sensor.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.
3. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Rear Knuckle/Service and Repair/Removal)
4. REMOVE REAR DISC (See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Rear Brake/Disassembly)
5. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY WITH SKID CONTROL SENSOR (See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel
Hub/Service and Repair/Rear Axle Hub and Bearing/Removal)
6. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR
(a) Mount the rear axle hub in a vise using aluminum plates.
NOTE: Replace the hub and bearing assembly if it is dropped or receives a strong shock.
(b) Using a pin punch and hammer, drive out the 2 pins and remove the 2 attachments from SST.

(c) Using SST and 2 bolts (Diameter: 12 mm, pitch: 1.5 mm), remove the skid control sensor from the hub and bearing assembly.

NOTICE:
-
Keep the sensor away from magnets.

Pull the skid control sensor off straight, taking care not to make contact with the skid control sensor rotor.
