Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair
Removal

2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR:

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Testing and Inspection)

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal)

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal)

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Removal)

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal)

8. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal)

9. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

(a) Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
(b) Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.
