Removal

U660E AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE: TCM:

REMOVAL

NOTE: When the TCM is replaced, the existing transaxle compensation codes must be input into the new TCM  (See: Transmission Control
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Registration).

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal)

2. REMOVE BATTERY (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal)

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal)

4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal)

5. REMOVE INTAKE AIR RESONATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal)

6. REMOVE TCM

(a) Turn the lock lever and disconnect the connector from the TCM.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and TCM from the transaxle.
