Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair
Installation
AXLE: REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING:
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the hub and bearing assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 80 Nm (816 kgf-cm, 59 ft-lbf)
(b) Connect the skid control sensor connector.
NOTE: Do not twist the sensor wire when connecting it.
2. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS (See: Wheel Hub/Testing and Inspection/Rear Axle Hub and Bearing)
3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT (See: Wheel Hub/Testing and Inspection/Rear Axle Hub and Bearing)
4. INSTALL REAR DISC (See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Rear Brake/Reassembly)
5. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Rear Knuckle/Service and Repair/Installation
)
6. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR CONNECTOR (See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Wheel
Speed Sensor/Service and Repair/Skid Control Sensor/Installation)
7. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
8. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
