Introduction
A groan or crunch noise may be heard from the front suspension when driving over speed bumps or dips in the roadway on some North American
produced Camrys and Avalons. This noise can be confirmed by jouncing the front suspension up and down to pinpoint the noise.
Production Change Information
NOTE:
Six ribs have been added to the top of the bumper which can be used to identify the new part (see illustration.)
Parts Information Repair Procedures
To repair a vehicle (built before the production change) with a groan or crunch noise from the front spring bumper, exchange the original part with a
service part.
Warranty Information
This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the
vehicle's in-service date.
