Throttle Body: Service and Repair
Removal

REMOVAL PROCEDURE 

1. DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL.

CAUTION:  Work must not be started for at least 90 seconds from the time the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK position and the negative (-)
terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.

2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT INTO AN APPROVED CONTAINER.
3. DISCONNECT CABLES FROM THROTTLE BODY.
4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP, RESONATOR AND AIR CLEANER HOSE.

Disconnect intake air temperature sensor.

California spec vehicles only 
-

Disconnect air hose from air cleaner hose.

-

Loosen air intake clamp at throttle body.

-

Disconnect air cleaner hose and remove air cleaner lid and hose assembly.

5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY.
