Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

NO. 1 COOLING FAN

1. Remove battery and tray.
2. Disconnect cruise control actuator from body.
3. Remove No. 1 cooling fan from left hand side of engine compartment.
4. Disconnect cruise control actuator wire from clamp on fan shroud.
5. Disconnect cooling fan connector.
6. Remove four retaining bolts from cooling fan assembly.
7. Remove fan blade attaching nut and fan.
8. Remove three fan motor to assembly attaching screws and remove motor.
9. Reverse procedure to install, torquing fan assembly bolts to 44 inch. lbs. and fan blade attaching nut to 55 inch. lbs.

NO. 2 COOLING FAN

1. Drain engine coolant.
2. Disconnect upper radiator hose from radiator.
3. Remove three attaching bolts and No. 2 cooling fan assembly.
4. Disconnect cooling fan connector.
5. Remove clip from fan blade.
6. Remove three motor to fan assembly attaching screws and motor.
7. Reverse procedure to install, torquing fan assembly bolts to 44 inch. lbs.
