Air Bag Control Module: Testing and Inspection

CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

Vehicles Not Involved In A Collision

1. Do a diagnostic system check.See: Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/Displaying &

Reading Trouble Codes/Without Scan Tool

Vehicles Involved In A Collision

1. If the SRS is not deployed.

Do a diagnostic system check.

2. If the SRS is deployed.

Replace the center airbag sensor assembly.

Replacement Requirements

In the following cases, replace the center airbag sensor assembly.

-

If the SRS has been deployed in a collision.

-

If the center airbag sensor assembly has been found to be faulty in troubleshooting.

-

If the center airbag sensor assembly has been dropped.

sure to follow the correct procedure.
