(a)

Look at the axle hub flange to determine if the hub is Type A, Type B, or Type C.

NOTE:

Type A: The groove is on the outside of the flange.

^

Type B: No groove on the flange.

^

:Type C: The groove is in the center of the flange.

(b)

If either hub is Type A = Replace Hub. Proceed to Section B, B, REAR AXLE HUB REMOVAL.

(c)

If both hubs are Type B or Type C the vehicle is not affected by this SSC. Skip to Section D BRAKE REINSTALLATION.

NOTE:

Type A = NG (REPLACE) 
Type B = OK 
Type C = OK

REAR AXLE HUB REMOVAL

1.

REMOVE THE REAR AXLE HUB ASSEMBLY

(a)

Remove the 4 bolts and rear axle hub.
