4. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

a. Remove the headrest and headrest supports.
b. Remove the lumber support lever.
c. With the seatback cover turned up, remove the hook from the seatback frame.
d. Remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback frame.

e. Remove the 2 nuts and side airbag assembly.

CAUTION:
-

Do not store the side airbag assembly with the airbag deployment side facing down.

Never disassemble the side airbag assembly.

INSTALLATION

NOTICE:  Never use airbag parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace them with new parts.

1. INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

a. Install the new 2 nuts and side airbag assembly to the seatback frame.

Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf)

NOTICE:
-

Make sure that the side airbag assembly is installed with the specified torque.

If the side airbag assembly has been dropped, or there are cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the side airbag
assembly with a new one.

-

When installing the side airbag assembly, take care it is not pinched between other parts.

b. Install the seatback cover with pad to the seatback frame.
