Ignition Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL:

Wire Holder

1.

Using a screwdriver, lift up lock claw and disconnect holder from distributor cap.

Ignition Cord Removal And Installation

2.

Disconnect high tension cord at grommet.

CAUTION: Pulling on or bending cords may damage conductor inside. Do not wipe any oil from grommet after high tension cord is disconnected.

INSTALLATION:

NOTE: Use step #5 for installation of center cord on the distributor side.

Ignition Cord Removal And Installation

1.

Insert grommet portion into terminal hole of distributor cap or ignition coil.

Holder Installation

2.

Align spline of distributor or ignition coil, with spline of holder. Slide the holder into position.
