Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Description and Operation

PURPOSE

The Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Charcoal Canister holds fuel vapors collected from the fuel tank until they are purged to the engine to
be burned. 

OPERATION

When the Thermal Vacuum Valve (TVV) opens it allows engine vacuum to draw fuel vapors stored in the Canister into the combustion process to
be burned
