Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair
FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect negative terminal cable from battery.
2. Place a rag or shop towel over the fuel filter.
3. Place a suitable container under the fuel filter to catch spilled fuel.
4. Slowly loosen the union bolt or fitting to relieve fuel pressure.
CAUTION: After affecting any repair that requires disassembly of fuel related components, inspect carefully for fuel leaks upon completion.
