If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

7. INSPECT DIMMING OPERATION

a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 7.
b. Push the Air Intake button, then the indicator lights up.
c. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and then check that the indicator dims.

If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

8. INSPECT AIR INTAKE SWITCH CIRCUIT

a. Connect the connectors to heater control assembly.

b. Inspect wire harness side connector from the back side, as shown in the chart.

If circuit is as specified, try replacing the air intake switch with a new one. If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuits connected to
other parts.
