(g)  Turn the balance shaft, and align the groove of the No. 2 balance shaft housing with punch mark E of the No. 2 balance shaft.
(h)  Set the dial gauge. (See procedure in step (d))
(i)  Measure backlash. (See procedure in step (e)) 

Standard backlash: 0.005 - 0.075 mm (0.0002 - 0.0030 in.)

(j)  Turn the balance shaft, and align the groove of the No. 2 balance shaft housing with punch mark F of the No. 2 balance shaft.
(k)  Set the dial gauge. (See procedure in step (d))
(l)  Measure backlash. (See procedure in step (e)) 

Standard backlash: 0.005 - 0.055 mm (0.0002 - 0.0022 in.)

If even one of the three points measured above exceeds the backlash specification. check the balance shafts, bearings and/or balance shaft
housings.

2.  REMOVE NO.2 BALANCE SHAFT HOUSING

(a)  Uniformly loosen and remove the nine bolts and plate washers in several passes, in the sequence shown.
(b) Remove the No.2 balance shaft housing.

3.  REMOVE NO.2 BALANCE SHAFT
