Camry Wagon L4-132 2164cc 2.2L DOHC (5S-FE) (1995)
Procedure
1. CHECK SENSOR AIR GAP.
-
Using a thickness gauge, measure the air gap between the signal rotor and pickup coil projection.
Air gap: 0.2 - 0.4 mm (0.008 - 0.016 in)
-
If the air gap is not as specified, replace the distributor housing assembly.
2. INSPECT SENSOR RESISTANCE.
-
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals NE(+) and NE(-).
Sensor resistance (Cold): 370 - 550 Ohms
Sensor resistance (Hot): 475 - 650 Ohms
NOTE: "Cold" and "Hot" in the preceding specifications expresses the temperature of the coil itself.
"Cold" is from -10°C (14°F) to 50°C (122°F)
"Hot" is from 50°C (122°F) to 100°C (212°F).
-
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the distributor housing assembly.
NOTE: For NE signal circuit testing procedures, refer to DTC 12 and DTC 13 under the "Trouble Code Charts".
