Clutch Slave Cylinder: Service and Repair

CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER, REPLACE

1.

On models with coded audio anti-theft systems,refer to Technician Safety Information for code procedures.

2.

Remove fluid using syringe, then disconnect clutch line tube.

3.

Remove clevis pin and clip with spring washer.

4.

Remove clutch slave cylinder.

5.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten fasteners to specifications.
b. Bleed and adjust system as outlined under Clutch System Bleed and Adjustments.
c. Reset audio anti-theft system, if necessary, as outlined under Technician Safety Information.

CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER, REPLACE

1.

Using suitable tool, disconnect clutch line tube. Use suitable container to catch fluid.

2.

Remove release cylinder attaching bolts, then remove cylinder.

3.

Reverse procedure to install. Tighten attaching bolts to specifications, then bleed clutch system as outlined under Clutch, Service and Repair,
Clutch System Bleeding.
