DISTRIBUTOR REMOVAL:

Distributor Removal

1.

DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: With Air Bag: Do not start work for approximately 30 seconds or longer from the time the ignition switch is turned to the locked

position and the negative battery terminal was disconnected.

Volume Air Flow Meter

REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP, VOLUME AIR FLOW METER AND AIR CLEANER HOSE
a. Disconnect volume air flow meter connector.
b. Disconnect volume air flow meter wire from the clamp on the volume air flow meter.
c. Disconnect the air hoses.
d. Loosen the air cleaner hose clamp bolt.
e. Disconnect the four air cleaner cap clips.
f.

Disconnect the air cleaner hose from the throttle body, and remove the air cleaner cap together with the volume air flow meter and air cleaner
hose.

3. DISCONNECT HIGH-TENSION CORDS FROM DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND IGNITION COIL
