Oil Pan: Service and Repair

2VZ-FE ENGINE

1.

Scribe hood hinge locations and remove hood.

2.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

3.

Raise and support vehicle.

4.

Remove engine under covers.

5.

Remove lower suspension crossmember.

6.

Disconnect front exhaust pipe.

7.

Remove engine mount center member.

8.

Remove engine front mount insulator and bracket.

9.

Remove stiffener plate.

10.

Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then the oil pan assembly.

11.

Remove oil strainer.

12.

Attaching suitable engine lifting equipment onto engine and suspend engine.

13.

Remove timing belt, No. 1 idler and crankshaft timing sprocket. 

Refer to ``Timing Belt, Replace'' for removal procedure.

14.

Remove alternator, if necessary. Remove air conditioning compressor without disconnecting lines. Remove compressor bracket and power steering
adjusting bar.

15.

Remove oil pump attaching bolts, then the oil pump assembly.

16.

Reverse procedure to install.
