Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection

FUEL PRESSURE INSPECTION

a. Check the battery voltage above 12 volts.
b. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) terminal of the battery.

c. Disconnect the cold start injector connector.
d. Put a suitable container or shop towel under the cold start injector pipe.
e. Remove the two union bolts, four gaskets, and cold start injector pipe.

NOTE:  Slowly loosen the union bolt.

Install SST (pressure gauge) to the delivery pipe with new two gaskets and union bolt.

*SST 09268-45012

Torque: 180 kg-cm (13 ft-lb, 18 N.m)

g. Wipe off any splattered gasoline.
h. Reconnect the battery negative (-) cable.

i.

Using a service wire, short terminals +B and FP of the check connector.

j.

Turn the ignition switch "ON".
