Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND AIR FLOW METER.
a. Disconnect the air flow meter connector.
b. Loosen the air cleaner hose clamp bolt and four clips, and remove the air cleaner cap and air flow meter.
2. REMOVE AIR FLOW METER FROM AIR CLEANER CAP.
a. Remove the two bolts and resonator.
b. Pry off the lock plate, and remove the bolt, four nuts, four plates washers, air flow meter and gasket.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL AIR FLOW METER TO AIR CLEANER CAP
a. Install the air flow meter with the gasket, lock plate, four plate washers, four nuts and bolt. Pry the lock plate on the nut.
b. Install the resonator with the two bolts.
2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP AND AIR FLOW METER.
a. Install the air cleaner cap and air flow meter with the four clips and air cleaner hose clamp bolt.
b. Connect the air flow meter connector.
