Neutral Safety Switch: Adjustments
Automatic Transaxle A540E

SHIFT LINKAGE

1.

Loosen shift linkage nut.

2.

Push manual lever fully forward, then return lever two notches to the Neutral position.

3.

While holding selector slightly toward Reverse range, tighten shift linkage nut.

NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH

1.

Loosen neutral safety switch bolt, then place selector in Neutral range.

2.

Align the groove and neutral basic line as shown in Fig. 1.

3.

Hold in this position and tighten bolts to 48 inch lbs.
