9. Reconnect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.

10. Turn the ignition switch ON. Do not start the engine.

11. Connect wire to the injector and battery for 15 seconds and measure the injection volume with a graduated cylinder. Test each injector 2 or 3 times

(SST 09842-30070).

Volume:  54 - 64 cc (3.3 - 3.9 cu in) per 15 sec.
Difference between each injector:  5 cc (0.3 cu in) or less

If the ignition volume is not as specified, replace the injector.

Injector Leakage Inspection

1. In the condition above. disconnect the test probes of wire from the battery and check the fuel leakage from the injector (SST 09842-30070).

Fuel drop:  1 drop or less per minute

2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.

3. Remove jumper and fuel system adaptors (SST 09268-41045 and 09843-18020).

4. Reinstall the fuel pressure regulator to the delivery pipe. 

Torque:  8 Nm (69 in lb)

5. Reconnect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery and inspect for fuel leaks.
