To repair affected transaxles, the secondary regulator valve is available as a kit (P/N 04354-32010) which includes the parts:

After removing valve body from the transmission, use the following procedure to install the modified secondary regulator valve.

Valve Body Disassembly

NOTE:

When disassembling the valve body, be careful not to damage or deform the plate.

REMOVE SOLENOIDS

NOTE:

When removing the solenoid, do not use a screwdriver, etc. to pry up the solenoid.

(a)

Remove No. 1 and No. 2 solenoids see Figure 1.

(b)

Remove the O-ring from each solenoid.

(c)

Remove the lock-up solenoid.
