Service Precautions (Common)
1.
Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
NOTE:
Check to obtain the customer anti-theft code for the radio before disconnecting the battery cable.
2.
Use protective covers to avoid damage to the vehicle.
3.
Use a tray for disassembled parts and mounting hardware.
Repair Procedure (Hella)
NOTE:
Tape a protective cloth down on the trunk lid under the spoiler light.
1.
Spoiler Light Removal:
A.
Using an awl or small punch, remove both Spoiler Light screw caps.
B.
Using a short stubby or right angle Phillips screwdriver, remove both screws and pull light assembly away from spoiler (take care not to
damage wire harness).
C.
Remove the foam protective tape away from the connector. Using a small flat blade screwdriver, pry up on the release dip and disconnect
the connector.
2.
Spoiler Light Installation:
A.
Plug in connector of new Spoiler Light to sub-harness. Install foam tape around connector to prevent rattle. Insert excess wire harness into
