Heated Oxygen/Air Fuel Sensor: Component Tests and General Diagnostics
Air-Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor
AIR/FUEL (A/F) RATIO SENSOR INSPECTION - CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS ONLY
1. Inspect heater resistance of A/F sensor.
(a) Disconnect the A/F sensor connector.
(b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals +B and HT.
Resistance: 11 - 16 ohm at 20°C (68°F)
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
Torque: 44 N.m (450 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf)
(c) Reconnect the A/F sensor connector.

Heated Oxygen Sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (BANK 1 SENSOR 2) INSPECTION
1. Inspect heater resistance of heated oxygen sensor.
(a) Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
(b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals +B and HT.
Resistance: 11 - 16 ohm at 20°C (68°F)
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor.
Torque: 44 N.m (450 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf)
(c) Reconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
